A passion for scale motorsports will take over the track located at the basketball courts of the Costanera del Estrecho. The Punta Arenas radio-controlled vehicle group has announced an official championship that will take place over three days, bringing together local drivers to demonstrate their skill and speed.
Francisco Perrier, a member of the organization and also president of the Magallanes Collectors' Association, confirmed that the dates are scheduled for Saturday the 21st, Sunday the 22nd, and the final closing event on Saturday, February 28.
He also explained that the championship will feature two categories to ensure the participation of all enthusiasts: Expert and Rookie (apprentice). Approximately 10 drivers per category are expected to participate, competing under established regulations with standard vehicles from the Japanese brand Kyosho, known as the "out-of-the-box" entry-level model for these competitions.
-Saturday 21: Starts at 18:00.
-Sunday 22: Family day from 16:00.
-Saturday 28: Grand night finale starting at 20:00, where the cars will show off their lights on the track.
The group invites the entire Punta Arenas community to come to the waterfront to enjoy this free spectacle. Registration for interested drivers will close this Sunday, February 15.
