The regional delegation traveled to Copiapó to face one of the most demanding off-road competitions in the country, where Magallanes-native rider Brian Corcoran, a representative sponsored by Bolt Chile, took part in the challenge alongside prominent figures in national motorsport.
From the demanding southern roads marked by frost, mud, and the extreme terrain of Magallanes, to the vast dunes and challenging conditions of the northern desert, a delegation of regional riders faced a new high-level test in the world of cross-country rally.
The competition corresponded to the 25th edition of the traditional “Desafío del Desierto” (Desert Challenge), an event held between June 25th and 28th in the city of Copiapó, Atacama Region, where more than 200 riders gathered to compete in one of the most important dates on the national calendar.
Among the representatives from Magallanes, the participation of Brian Corcoran stood out; the rider, sponsored by Bolt Chile, once again brought the region's name to the national motorsport stage, facing routes of great technical difficulty, long days of competition, and an environment completely different from that which characterizes southern terrain.
The event, recognized as one of the most important and long-standing cross-country gatherings in the Southern Cone, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a historic turnout, bringing together competitors from different regions of the country and consolidating itself as a true celebration of motorsport.
